I am a Senior at Liberty High School in Peoria, Arizona. I picked up my first golf club when I was 3 years old and started playing competitively at age 6.
I have played soccer, danced and gave Tae Kwon Do a try, but my passion for golf won out and I made the decision to focus on my game around the age of 9.
My passion for golf has not only grown, but the sport has shaped me into the person that I am today with the lessons of sportsmanship, honesty, hard work and overcoming obstacles.
I have the gift of living in Arizona where I get to play golf year round and am a member of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, AGJA and Girls Golf of Phoenix. I have been a contributing member of high school Varsity golf team for three years and tied for 8th out to a field of 82 at the 2021 Division 1 Arizona High School State Championship. In 2021, my high school team Liberty won the Girls Golf Division 1 State Championship. I finished my third high school golf season ranked the 4th Junior in the state of Arizona out of 74 and ranked 6th out of 246 Division 1 high school girls golfers overall.
This summer we traveled to Pinehurst, NC to compete as a team at the National High School Girls Golf Championship where we placed 4th out of 28 teams from across the nation.
I am working hard on not only improving my golf game, but also my physical strength which helps me sustain my energy and strength during tournament rounds. My training with THP over the last 4 years has helped me gain strength that translates into longer distance off the tee. My physical endurance and my game has improved greatly from my continued training. My training with THP has also sparked an interest in possibly pursuing a career in Kinesiology or Physical Therapy.
In addition to my efforts on the course, my studies are equally as important. I am dedicated and have a strong work ethic and am diligent in achieving excellence in both academics and golf. I currently have a 3.9 GPA.
When I am not golfing, I love road tripping to golf tournaments, passionate about my role on Liberty’s Student Council and also volunteering in my church’s children’s ministry for the last
4 years, working with 3 year olds. When I am not in school, I can be found practicing or playing a round with friends.
Over the years, through hard work and discipline, I have been preparing myself to take my golf skills to the collegiate level. I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to play for the University of Denver in the Fall of 2023.
